In a recent LinkedIn post by colleague Conor Johnston, Recruitment Consultant, Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Barrington James, he posed the question whether “there is no advantage for the finance sector in the NISQ era of quantum computing.”
This question instigated a storm of responses centering on the differences between quantum advantage (over classical systems), the value or values of quantum technologies today and the importance of quantum readiness. These criteria are materially different. And organizational leaders need to understand the differences as they approach their own quantum strategy. So, let’s explore the triumvirate.
