Recent Times
If you’ve been following quantum technology’s progress, even just over the last 3 years, you will have recognized that financial services has consistently been one of the industries/sectors leading the charge. Yet times have not changed so much that technology comes first - technology supports business goals; it does not supersede them.
Purists often focus on quantum computing in its perfect form (fault tolerant quantum computers with thousands of logical qubits and millions of physical qubits mitigating noise). Yet quantum inspired software and quantum algorithms applied on classical computing infrastructure illustrates benefits and that’s what buyers are after.
