By converting electrical energy from one voltage level to another, transformers enable efficient energy transmission over long distances and ensure compatibility with various devices and systems. The energy transfer occurs without direct electrical contact, as the primary coil generates a magnetic field that induces a voltage in the secondary coil, adjusting the voltage as needed while conserving the overall energy balance.
